It was nice being able to complete the course at my own pace. I could review material when needed and speed through material I already felt comfortable with.

Luckily,I have done the in-person training so many times at this point that I remember most of what to do. After doing the online version the last 2 years, all I can say is I hope nobody who ONLY has this "training" ever has to perform CPR on me or my children. I could have passed the exam without reading any of the material because it was all pretty common knowledge stuff (I think). I just think this barely qualifies as "training" and I don't think we should hand out CPR certifications to people who haven't spent in-person time practicing over and over on a dummy, going over the rules over and over so they stick. I've been in enough in-person classes and seen people have to be corrected in their technique despite doing the class many times. Steps like that are important, and you get none of that doing this online course. On top of that, the editing of this material was nonexistent. It was actually painful for me to read. You know you can write a list of instructions without writing "Make sure to" at the beginning of every single sentence. That is implied. Instead of "Make sure to apply gauze to the wound", just say "Apply gauze to the wound." Word count would go down and reading would flow much better. I just feel like SOMEONE at a national foundation should be able to write things at better than an 8th grade level.
