There was no sound in the sample video's. I don't know if that was the way they were made. I checked my sound and it was fine.

Very little was required of this training. Without the hands-on portion, folks who have never been certified would have difficulties in implementing chest compressions/breaths. But, I guess the ease of completion is the appeal...?
