You don" start CPR unless the patient has no pulse. If you do CPR correctly on a patient with a pulse you are going to do some serious damage and create a very long road of recovery. I would change that immediately. As a paramedic I've seen people fracture ribs and cause bleeding in the lungs on people who never needed CPR to begin with.
