Super quick and convenient, but some of these answers seemed wrong (or incorrectly worded) to me, especially as a first responder. Q : When a pt is unconscious and unresponsive, CPR should be performed. A : According to the quiz, the answer is true. This however, is not correct. Just because someone is not responsive does not mean they are in cardiac arrest. There are multiple reasons someone can be unconscious/unresponsive, including hypoglycemia, OD, stroke, etc. You do not know if someone is in need of CPR unless you determine they have no pulse/respirations. Q : You should still perform CPR on a pt when EMS arrives. A : Correct answer according to y’all is false. However, minimizing interruptions to compressions is key in pt survival. The word “arrive” is somewhat left up to interpretation. Just because EMS pulls up in ambulance doesn’t mean I’m absolved of my duty to deliver quality compressions. CPR should be continued until someone else is ready and willing to take over chest compressions. This one was just a little confusing to me. Thank you!
