Although this course meets the requirements for me to be First Aid certified, it has many grievous errors. As an ER nurse I can assure you that automatically giving someone an auto injection (the course never specified the type of injection, such as an Epi Pen) after a bug bite or sting is NOT necessary unless they are showing signs of an anaphylactic reaction. Secondly, when a person is hemorrhaging (site unspecified) you would not use an AED on them unless there was loss of spontaneous circulation or no pulse. Thirdly, you would not automatically call 911 if you suspected a heart attack, you would check for a pulse then begin CPR protocol.
