Hello, Overall, I liked the course. I believe there are several questions in the test that are being counted as wrong that are not. Question 4: If a patient undergoes a head injury you should call 911 immediately. The accepted answer is True. This does not appear to be correct according to the training text. The text states “Head injuries usually result in minor bruises or bumps; however, some head injuries can be very severe and even fatal. Call 911 immediately if” … By stating that 911 should be called IF one or some of the listed items are observed, the implication is that it is not necessary unless that criterion is met. Therefore, if a minor injury is present, 911 is not needed. By introducing the subject with “Head injuries USUALLY result in minor bruises or bumps…” it also reinforces the idea that 911 does not need to be called for all head injuries. The correct answer should be False unless the question is more detailed on the severity of the injury. I would also like to see an explanation and demonstration of turning a patient over into the recovery position as is mentioned in the treatment section if the patient is vomiting or bleeding from the mouth or nose. Question 7: When a patient is unconscious and non-responsive CPR should be performed. The accepted answer is True. In the training text, there is a precursor to performing CPR. The text says “Call 911 and perform CPR IF the patient is without a pulse and unconscious and non-responsive.” Once again, there is a precondition that the patient be without a pulse. If a person is unconscious due to fainting, dehydration, low blood sugar or low blood pressure among others, they do not need CPR and it should not be performed because of the possibility of breaking ribs or causing other injuries that would further complicate their situation. The correct answer in this case should be False. I believe that the question should also be reworded because unconscious is synonymous with non-responsive.

I feel as if I learned more through this course and quiz than I do when I take CPR in-person. However, LVIS does not recognize this as a credible certification so I ended up paying for nothing.
