This information is extremely general and detail is greatly lacking. The redundancy of advice is unnecessary and the slight differences interjected make it confusing for someone less familiar with first aid training. For example, simply providing a list of injuries for which EMS should be contacted would be more reader friendly than listing 20 different types of medical issues and stating under each one to contact EMS. A lot of the information outside of the CPR information is too general to be applicable for the average person. Telling someone to just inject with an Epi-Pen in the case of anaphylaxis is not helpful for someone who has never seen exactly how one is operated. There is frequent mention of giving the recipient of first aid something to drink but it's never mentioned to ensure the person can safely swallow or even sit up. There is also advice that seems questionable. For severe nosebleeds, it mentions applying pressure for 10 minutes and then after hemorrhage has stopped to have the person blow their nose which would likely dislodge any clot that had since formed and result in recurrence of hemorrhage. Overall, most of the information in this course is too vague and too overlapping to be useful. The quiz fails to focus on the most important aspects of first aid training - asking what the compression to ventilation rate is in CPR seems more important to retain than whether the letter "C" stands for cardiopulmonary or chest compressions. I would not recommend this class to others compared to other first aid courses I have taken previously.
