I don't agree that CPR should be immediately stopped once EMS arrives, it should be stopped once EMS is actually with the patient. Sometimes there is a time lapse to actually get to the patient after arrival. Also, some people are unconscious and unresponsive, but do not require CPR. A person could have fainted and/or be drunk, but both with a pulse and respirations.
