When a patient is unconscious and non-responsive CPR should be performed. FALSE!!! ...unresponsive and NO PULSE. A patient can be unconscious and non-responsive but still have a pulse! Which law provides legal protection to individuals who assist someone in an emergency without expecting compensation? MORE importantly!!! ...protect bystanders from civil liability (lawsuits) if something goes wrong. The law was primarily established to protect against LIABILITY!
